As part of raising some Shakefest funds to provide you all with an amazing performance program this year, and to celebrate our 10th Year on Saturday May 30th in style, we present to you a special Spooky Fundraiser on February 21st at Charleville Castle, for all of you with a curiosity about the Paranormal.
We want you to be a part of a paranormal investigation at one of Ireland’s most HAUNTED Castles
Where is the castle..
Charleville Castle is an Independent Culture Centre of the Irish Midlands, but what a lot of you may or may not know is that it is also famous for its paranormal activity and has been the fascination and interest of many national and international paranormal groups, including Most Haunted and Ghost Hunters International, to name a few.
We will be holding a fun public investigation by paranormal investigators led by David Wenger of PRAOFI who will be introducing you to and using special types of equipment to determine if in fact spirit is with us, through the use of technology, aka science as well as actual stories of fascinating personal ghostly experiences from Charleville Castle’s residents and volunteers.
Where do I join the paranormal investigation…
Arrival to the castle is at 7pm where the group is settled in, where an introduction on the evening and with the equipment takes place at 8pm and investigation starts at 9pm. Everyone is usually split into 2 to 3 groups who rotate time in specific popular areas of the castle, including the grand rooms, the old children’s nursery, and the dungeon to see if there is indeed any one, or any thing there that goes bump in the night!
The evening includes overnight stay at Charleville Castle, plus a whole evening of investigation, free snacks, tea and coffee! We will have a warm room available for breaks throughout the evening, which will be heated by a cozy open fire.
Overnight accommodation;
Price includes overnight stay (there is also an optional rate of €45 for departure at 3am) but those who would like to fall asleep by the fireplace, Bedding (sleeping bags etc.), warm clothes and torches are an essential!
Prices:
Places are €60 per person, with a special romantic Valentine’s rate of only €100 per couple.
Group rates are available upon request. A 50% deposit per person is required to secure your place upon booking.
