Shakefest Hosts International Guest Instructors Zaghareet
Shakefest celebrated its 6th amazing year with International Guest Instructors – Zaghareet – Uber Tribal group extraordinaire, from Germany. Workshops also included a variety of Middle Eastern Bellydance, Fire Dance, Native American Shamanism, Acro Yoga and more. Performances by The Dancing Jewels Children’s Ballet and Jazz studio of Portarlington, The Mountbolus Pipe Band, and bands Blind Yackety and The Underskore_Orchestra.
Shakefest happens every year during the last weekend of May for cultural arts and dance goers can come from all over the country and also camp on the castle grounds. Shakefest’s aim is to promote a world without borders for all ages and to raise much needed funds towards Charleville Castle’s restoration and volunteer programmes.
