Workshop participants were also wowed by the intense workout the their Capoeira experts gave them in which they left the workshop completely drenched in sweat with a wild and alive look in their eyes – one workshop participant described the workshop as ‘Incredible’ – where Breakdance Instructor Straysoul’s 2 hour intensive Breakdance – Hip Hop – Street Dance Workshop inspired his students to come outside and try out their dynamic new moves on stage. Also a big hit was John Bowker’s Tribal Spirit Drumming as a climax to the end of a busy day for all, who led his students in a communal drum circle while fascinating onlookers.

While those were participating in workshops inside the castle, outside was a laid back, eclectic atmosphere where many lounged on the plush sofas and chairs scattered around the stage area, and browsed the eclectic mix of market stalls including antiques, jewelry and bellydance clothing, as well as taking advantage of the holistic services on hand. Dance demonstrations throughout the day including Fire Dance, Bellydance, Salsa and Breakdance entertained all lounging in the gorgeous weather.

To end the day in style, a brilliant performance was put on at 8pm for all workshop participants, friends and family featuring The Red Embers Bellydance Troupe of Tullamore and Najwa Zenya Bellydance Troupe from Bray, as well as Salsa and other performers from all over the country.
