PRESS RELEASE April 10, 2006

Charleville Forest Castle

On Saturday, April 29th, 2006, Charleville Forest Castle is pleased to host:

‘SHAKE – A CELEBRATION OF DANCE’

In aid of the Charleville Castle Restoration Fund.

The day will consist of a series of at least 8 workshops including: Yoga, Salsa, Fire Dancing, Capoeira and Belly Dancing.

There are also Tai-Chi and Breakdance workshops for both men and ladies.  Each workshop will be approximately one to one and a half hours which will be booked upon arrival.  Accompanying these workshops will be special dance demonstrations throughout the day and some breathtaking dance performances to close the evening –  all for the incredible value of only €50.

In addition, there will be a variety of Holistic Treatments available (at a cut price between €5-€10) for you to try including Reiki, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy to help soothe those muscles after a good workout.  ‘SHAKE’S’ mission is to promote physical wellbeing through creative expression through movement and dance, and a turnout of approximately 80-100 people is expected.  Camping is available for Charleville Castle Members and Volunteers.  It costs just €10 to join.

This is a wonderful opportunity to explore, to get a taste of, and to become acquainted with the different styles of dance available to you in your area.  ‘SHAKE’ is also a great lead up to Charleville Castle’s ‘MAY DAY’ Celebrations including Irish Dancing and Bands on an outdoor stage on Sunday, April 30th, 2006.  More details are to follow.
